As video content become essential to today’s musical artists. We take the stress out of booking a recording studio and hiring a video production crew. With the NYC Pop-Up Live Recording, all you have to do is click “Book Now”, show up and focus on playing your music, DONE! You will get your videos edited and your audio mixed in no time!

 

How does it work?

 

1: Book your slot

Check out our monthly schedule and book the slot that works for you. We can accommodate up to a 5 piece band. The slots are 1 hour long and you can record up to 3 songs, with multiple takes. If you need to record more, you may book up to 2 consecutive slots per event, so you will be able to record up to 6 songs! (Enough to make an EP)

2: Tell us your instrumentation

We will pre-setup the microphones and cameras so we can start recording within minutes once you arrive at the location.

3: Record and pick your takes

We will deliver all the audio takes on the same day. You will need to pick your favorite and we will take care of the rest of the post-production for you!

4: Upload the videos to YouTube/Facebook/Vimeo...etc

Once we’re done, you will receive the edited video embedded with the mixed audio, ready to be uploaded to your favorite social media platform directly.

Who we are

Simon C.F. Yu is one of the busiest musician's videographer in NYC. Rozhan Razman is an established musician that wears many hats. He also is the owner of Riro Muzik, where the first few NYC Pop-Up Live Recording events were held. Rozhan has worked with many different artists in various capacities, including as bass player, band leader, recording and mixing engineer, producer and arranger. Some past  clients include Solange, Monica, Dave Binney, Sirius Quartet, Evan Marien, Ben Lorentzen, r.O.T.i., Nicholas Teoh and SunBeatz.

FAQ

1: What are the rules?

Everything is recorded live as you perform in a live show, no overdubs or edits between takes. (however we can do couple punch-ins if you make some minor mistakes)  Also please be at the location on time because we have artists back-to-back so we need setup time before the next artist arrives. 

2: How do you record the videos?

We are filming the events with 3x Canon High Definition cameras and an extra GOPRO camera if needed. The audio is multi-tracked to Pro-Tools which will be mixed down to a stereo track.

3: What kind of backline you are providing?

For events at Riro Muzik we provide: Canopus drum kit (you can bring your cymbals and snare), Fender Rhodes, Korg Kronos Keyboard, Guitar Amps, Microphones, DI Boxes; 

Optional: Steinway B Grand Piano(+$40), Hammond Organ(+$40). For events in other locations you can check out the details in the event booking page.

4: Can I participate the post-production process?

Basically we will take care the video editing and audio mixing. If you want modifications on the video/audio please let us know and we can be booked by hours for mixing or editing session with a separate fee.

5: When can I expect to get the final product?

The turnaround time of the edited video is around 2 weeks after the event.

6: Do I own the rights to the video/audio?

Yes you do! Please noted our logo is embed at the end of each video and also NYC Pop-Up Live Recording has the right to use the audio and videos to promote our next event.
